Stamp Duty
In an attempt to help the housing market recover, Chancellor Alister
Darling announced last week that stamp duty land tax will not apply
to purchases of residential property of £175,000 or less for the
next 12 months.
This £600m new scheme, which applies to residential property, will
save property buyers purchasing a £150,000 house, £1,500.
Our Mortgage and Financial Service s advisor Jeff Spurdle said:
"With all the recent doom and gloom reported about the state of the
mortgage market over recent weeks it is good today to be able to
advise a number of positive steps being taken to kick-start this
sector of the economy."
"Measures aimed at boosting the housing market include free loans of
up to 30% for first time buyers in England, purchasing new
properties. Under this scheme, called Homebuy Direct, households
earning less than £60000 could be offered loans free of charge for 5
years. At the end of this period it is likely that homebuyers will
be asked to pay a fee. Further details of this scheme are expected
in upcoming weeks."
"At A P Robinson, we have seen competition between Lenders
re-surfacing with many looking to retain their market share. A
consequence of this is that a number of rates have been reduced.
This will benefit those purchasing properties or re-mortgaging their
homes and looking for a new deal."
Andrew Robinson said; "I welcome the Government's stamp duty move,
as it will undoubtedly help the housing market. Further commendable
schemes that the Government is initiating include a mortgage rescue
scheme which will allow those facing repossession to sell their home
to a social landlord, who will clear the mortgage and then rent it
back to them at an affordable rate. This will help to alleviate
those in our community who are having housing difficulties at
present."
As a provider of mortgages, we are excited about the changes to the
market and are able to provide a whole of market mortgage advisory
service through our in house Mortgage and Financial Services
Department. For more details please email

Get Your Own Website
Every business should consider a website. A website is
very effective and inexpensive sales channel and
marketing tool.
Most people will use the internet these days to find
products or services they are looking for you need to
ensure these customers come across your business!
That is why A P Robinson & Co now offer websites and
bespoke holding pages, catered for small, medium or
large businesses. To explore the selection of websites
and excellent prices, please visit
www.aprobinson.biz/websites
But first, consider these 6 reasons why a business
should have a website:
1.
Your Competition Has a Website. If you are in
direct competition with another business that has a
website, they have a clear advantage, especially if
they are adequately marketing their website
2. Youre Open 24/7. A website will allow
your business or organization to be open 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. Many people surf the web in the
evening when most businesses are closed. But if you have
a website they can find, you are just as good as open.
Is your competition open 24 hours a day, seven days a
week?
3. Deliver Significant Information. More
than ever before, people are turning away from
traditional means of finding information and looking
online. Yellow pages, directories, and printed materials
are being used less.
4. Improve Customer Confidence & Corporate
Image. With a professional website, your business
will instil customer confidence and will greatly improve
your overall image.
5. Small Businesses Have Higher Revenue.
According to the Small Business Administration, small
businesses that have websites are averaging $1.07
million per year in sales more than small businesses not
online. That equates to 39% higher revenue.
6. Establish More Customers. According to
the Small Business Administration, 50% of Internet sales
are from new customers. Having a website will
significantly improve your customer reach no matter what
services or products you are offering. Want new

"I have had an amazing year at A P
Robinson and admit I will be very envious of the person who fills my
