The innovative achievements of two of A P Robinson & Co's management team have been recognised by the Hull and East Yorkshire division of the Junior Chamber International. Emma Stamp and Lizzy Dale have been short-listed for the JCI's annual "The Outstanding Young Person Awards" ceremony in the categories of Academic Leadership and/or Accomplishment, and Business, Economic and/or Entrepreneurial Accomplishment.

JCIUK is part of a global organisation, JCI, which is a personal development and networking organisation for men and women in their twenties and thirties with 250,000 members across 100 countries. Emma and Lizzy have been identified as outstanding by the judges in recognition of their remarkable contribution to the business and their self-motivation for personal development and achievement.

Emma's role as Senior Manager of Operational Services is extensive and varied. She oversees all three accounts teams, ensuring the expected high quality of every piece of out-bound paperwork, and also monitors all staff progress, development and appraisals, ensuring the efficiency of the business in terms of staff productivity and monthly targets.

She is proactive and forward-thinking and has been instrumental in developing A P Robinson & Co. She has managed all departments of the business including the accounts teams, administration, reception, payroll, and last year spearheaded the recruitment and implementation of Lizzy in the new position of Marketing Manager.

Emma came runner-up in The SME Manager of The Year at The Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards 2008, for her innovative approach to recruitment, sustainable staff retention policies, and contribution to real business benefit.

In her 11 years with A P Robinson & Co, Emma became the first accountant to qualify and quickly progressed to achieve the status of Chartered Accountant. She has since gained her practising certificate which enables her to run her own practice. Emma has achieved all this whilst balancing a demanding fifty hour working week with a partner and two young children.

Lizzy Dale joined A P Robinson & Co one year ago as Marketing Manager in Emma's newly introduced role. She created, designed and constantly updated a new company website which was search engine optimised through content driven articles, giving A P Robinson & Co a contemporary, original and non-stereotypical new brand.

She created and launched new promotional materials, including brand new brochures, new banner stands for events, new letterheads, vibrant postcards instead of appointment letters, referral letters and new accounts letters which proved to be cost-effective and a more original mode of communication.

She organised several incredibly successful charity events, Employment Law seminars, a Professional Women's Networking group, the Business Generation Group's Open Day, the Chamber of Commerce Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards, and many large business networking events in Grimsby and Scunthorpe.

Through her efforts, A P Robinson & Co is now a member of five successful networking societies which has ensured the firm has a strong presence in the local business community and a substantial network of contacts.

Since October 2007, Lizzy and Emma have been instrumental in the establishment of new services that the company now offers including the introduction of a Human Resources service and the ability to offer websites to clients in conjunction with local business, Laser Red.

Whilst working full-time in her role, Lizzy achieved a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing and left A P Robinson & Co in September to pursue her flourishing career in London as a Pre-sales Consultant. Her role was so significant that A P Robinson & Co replaced her with a new Marketing Manager.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 20^th November at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Hull, and will be attended by the senior team from A P Robinson in support of their talented colleagues.
